We learn that a Pentagon researcher (a pentagoon?) has raised a red flag and a big stink about terrorists congregating and using virtual worlds to conspire. Apparently, the jargon-heavy language used over there makes it very tough to monitor.

To us, it seems that the spooks have only invented a way to play WoW during work hours, while the economy crashes and burns. The Wired article concludes:

Toavs, for one, believes that spies will have to spend more time in virtual worlds like WoW, if they want to have a hope of keeping tabs on what goes on inside 'em. Which means, some day soon, we might find secret agents in World of Warcraft, along with the druids and orcs and night elves.

Hasta la vista, baby!
