Most of us are very fond of their titles, whether they denote a respected profession (Dr.), a social milestone (Mrs.) or an educational achievement (Ph.D.). Yet most of us don’t cling to their furniture and especially their throne, among other reasons, because it’s rather uncomfortable to do so. A carefully worded statement was issued: An ambulance service spokesman said: "He appeared to be none the worse for his ordeal other than being understandably somewhat embarrassed." "With the help of a local authority and the fire and rescue service, the man was removed from the cubicle still attached to the stainless steel toilet," the spokesman said. The toilet was later taken back to the public convenience and re-installed. And thus, both the man and the toilet lived to tell the tale.
